Tipo-Z is a modern interpretation of the Zeta washbasin by Gio Ponti, which the Italian architect and designer created in 1954. It is a monolithic, statuesque washbasin with an unmistakable character. Using the latest technology, Tipo-Z was cast in one piece, with no space between the basin and the base, creating a shape that would not have been technically possible in 1954. The result: a durable, light-looking and ultra-flat basin. Roberto Palomba, co-founder of Palomba Serafini Associati and Chief Design Officer of Ideal Standard, says: "Tipo-Z is a natural evolution of the Zeta washbasin by Gio Ponti. Tipo-Z has a monolithic silhouette that expresses elegance."
